artist's tools

I made two shuttles (weaving) by using 3D print for special special's artist's tools exhibition. The press release read as such:

"Special Special presents Artists' Tools, an exhibition of tools made by artists for use in art making and everyday life. A tool can be conventionally understood as an instrument that aids and extends the human hand. Artists' Tools expands on this definition by including devices that create or facilitate unique outcomes in processes of artmaking or daily living. Custom-made, repurposed, or created through assemblage, these tools contribute to the formal or conceptual development of the artists' practices, and can be considered artworks in their own right.

Featuring contributions from 32 artists, the exhibition is a collection of bespoke tools that highlight the specificity of each artist's creative process; reflecting their available resources and working conditions."

Special Special is a gallery, shop, and producer of art editions for everyday appreciation in NYC.
